Adoptive Parent, Educator, Family Support Specialist
Anna Y. Loebe, Ed. D., an adoptive parent of two sons, has worked in the child welfare arena supporting children and families, specializing in adoptive, foster care, and kinship guardianship families since 2006. Between 1976 and 2005, she worked as an educator in various teaching, administrative, and university research capacities. She is currently a Family Support Specialist at Children’s Advocacy Center of Southern Arizona in Tucson.
This presentation is based on her views as an adoptive parent and on research in the areas of loss, abandonment, and complex trauma related to raising other people’s children.
